The Bronzeville Fencing Academy's in-school partnerships with local and statewide social service agencies, operates afterschool programming in the Chicago Public Schools. These programs are specifically designed to motivate and support academic achievement and success in alternative sports disciplines, thus promoting a viable pathway to secondary and post-secondary education. The Academy's programs principally target youth, fourteen years of age and under (U14) as early intervention stabilizes the community and ensures the quality of life for future generations.

This holistic program cultivates the development of the student-athlete and provides instruction in all three weapons; Foil, Epee and Saber. The focus promotes athletic prowess and good citizenship in a fun and safe environment. The participants enjoy a positive and fun class atmosphere where through expert instruction, they are afforded the opportunity to grow and learn the sport of Fencing at their own pace. Classes include games, exercises, skill-building, bouting, as well as individual lessons. The physical fitness component will incorporate plyometric and isometric conditioning and coordination exercises and technical, tactical, and mental training.
The Academy provides practice equipment (jackets, masks, gloves, and weapons).
